Co-ownership is a smart way to own a vacation home—without taking on the full financial weight of buying it solo. It’s a simple idea: a group of people share the costs and the benefits of owning a property in the Dominican Republic. You each get your own set weeks to enjoy the property, and everything else—like upkeep and management—is taken care of.

To facilitate co-ownership, Casa Linda has established a separate company to manage and operate the program. This company acquires specific residences—currently townhomes—which are then offered for shared ownership.

When You Purchase Co-ownership, You Become a Legal Owner

Ownership of the five townhomes are divided into shares, which are sold to individuals, families, or groups. To become a co-owner,  you purchase shares in this company and become a legal, titled owner of all five properties. You are then entitled to a set number of weeks per year for personal use. The number of weeks is determined by the number of shares purchased, with a minimum of four weeks per year. You can certainly buy additional shares and increase your yearly usage.

  • An investment of US $28,700 provides two shares in a company that owns a portfolio of five vacation properties.
  • Payment Options:
    • You can pay the entire $27,800 US upfront; or
    • Make a $15,800 US downpayment and then pay $1,200 US per month, for the next 10-months
  • This ownership includes four weeks of annual usage, which can be used flexibly across the five townhomes.
    • Weeks may be split into shorter stays, combined for longer visits, or allocated to different properties, allowing for a customizable vacation experience based on individual needs and preferences.
  • Owners may choose to use all, some, or none of their allotted time. Unused weeks can be placed in a rental program, offering the potential to generate income and help offset ongoing costs.
