Importantly, Sosua is located roughly between Puerto Plata and Cabarete. This means you have easy access to both of those towns and their famous landmarks, like the Caves of Cabarete, Fort San Felipe, and Ocean World Adventure Park!

For the history-minded, Sosua and the surrounding towns have several museums and historical sites waiting to be perused, and Sosua itself has an especially interesting history. This town was founded as a refuge for Jewish people fleeing the conflict in WWII. With the support of the US and locals, they built a new life here. Many moved to the US, but some descendants still live in Sosua to this day.
