Overview
Most villas give you one option. Villa Coralreef gives you two. Build it as a single-level two-bedroom with a spacious open-plan layout and covered terrace, or go two stories and add a fully private owner's retreat upstairs, completely separated from the rest of the home. Same great design, two very different ways to live in it.
The owner's retreat option is worth talking about. A private upper level means owners and guests genuinely don't need to be in each other's space. Guests get the run of the main floor; you keep your own private world upstairs.
Downstairs, the home is built for light and air. Lots of windows, glass doors catching the tropical breeze, an open-plan great room flowing out to the large covered terrace, and an outdoor bar positioned exactly where you'd want it. The interior is spacious and sun-filled, and the outside never feels far away.

The glass doors get opened in the morning and pretty much stay that way. The great room and terrace blur into one big space and that's where the day unfolds: coffee, conversation, someone eventually making their way to the pool. The outdoor bar comes into its own in the late afternoon when the light goes golden and nobody's in any hurry. By evening the covered terrace is doing what it was built for, and the DR night air takes care of the rest.
